Entry Permit to Jabal Akhdar Scenic Reserve

A service providing applicants with an entry permit to the Reserve for visiting and sightseeing purposes.
Types of permits:
o Visit for adults
o Visit and overnight stay for children under 16
o Visit for children and students under 16

o To adhere to the following
- Royal Decree no. 6/2003 issuing the Law on Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation
- Royal Decree no. 47/1998 issuing the Financial Law, and its amendments
- Royal Decree no. 80/2011 Establishing Jabal Akhdar Scenic Reserve
- Ministerial Decision no. 20/2019 Regulating the Management of Jabal Akhdar Scenic Reserve
Additional conditions:
o The following activities or acts are strictly prohibited in Jabal Akhdar Scenic Reserve:
a- Enter the Reserve outside the permitted visiting times, or camp or stay overnight at the Reserve without a permit from the Environment Authority
b- Violate the Reserve’s applicable instructions and code of conduct displayed at the Reserve's entrances, visitors’ centers, and in the Environment Authority publications
c- Attempt to hunt or collect wildlife, fossils, artifacts, stones, or any of the assets in the Reserve
d- Light fires, except in designated areas and only after obtaining a permit from the Environment Authority
e- Place or use poison in the Reserve for any reason whatsoever
f- Drive vehicles outside the lanes or roads specified by the Environment Authority
g- Log, cut or burn trees, shrubs, or any vegetated area
h- Pollute water sources or valley streams in the Reserve
i- Dispose of any type of waste or transfer soil from or to the Reserve
j- Drill wells or undertake any form of prospecting or mining
k- Conduct studies and research or collect samples for any reason whatsoever without obtaining a prior permit from the Environment Authority
l- Establish any new facility/building or expand old buildings without Environment Authority's approval
m- Use firearms or conventional weapons inside the Reserve except nature conservation staff
