1- Application submitted electronically on the Environment Authority’s website with all required documents
2- Application consideration and evaluation
3- Field visit (for new applications)
4- Assessment of field visit report
5- Electronic payment of license fees
6- Receipt of license
o To adhere to the following
o Royal Decree no. 114/2001 issuing the Law on Conservation of the Environment and Prevention of Pollution
o Royal Decree no. 115/2001 issuing the Law on Protection of Potable Water Sources from Pollution
o Ministerial Decision no. 12/2017 amending Some Provisions of the Regulations for Wastewater Reuse and Discharge
o Ministerial Decision no. 55/2002 amending Some Provisions of the Regulations for Wastewater Reuse and Discharge
o The technical specifications of licences issued by the Environment Authority.
o Additional conditions:

Recent water sample analysis report issued by a laboratory approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion
Detailed plan/layout of the evaporation pond
A report ensuring the safe welding of the lining material
Contingency plan
Copy of the environmental permit
o For renewal:
Periodic maintenance report of the evaporation pond
Copy of the expired license
License to discharge (wastewater to evaporation ponds)
Two (2) renewable years
Ten (10) working days, subject to submission of all required documents and meeting all requirements
