Permanent/Temporary Permit to Collect and Transport Dry Firewood

A service providing Omani applicants with a permanent or temporary permit to collect and transport dry firewood in Oman
1- Application submitted electronically on the Environment Authority’s website with all required documents
2- Application consideration and evaluation
3- Field visit for permanent permit applications
4- Assessment of field visit report
5- Electronic payment
6- Receipt of permit.
o To adhere to the following:
o Royal Decree no. 114/2001 issuing the Law on Conservation of the Environment and Prevention of Pollution, and relative Executive Regulations
o Royal Decree no. 6/2003 issuing the Law on Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation, and the relative Executive Regulations
o Ministerial Decision no. 65/2017 on the Regulations for Logging and Charcoal
o Additional conditions:
For permanent permits:
o Applicant must be at least 30 years old
o The applicant is not employed at any public or private entity
o The applicant shall be a low-income or a retired Omani national whose monthly salary does not exceed OMR 350.
Individual Services
The Environment Authority’s website
o For permanent permit:
o Salary certificate
o Social Insurance card or
o Letter from the Ministry of Labor stating that the applicant is a job seeker for more than 6 months.
o Permanent permit
o Temporary permit
o A renewable period of two, six or nine (2/6/9) months for permanent permits
o Two (2) working days for temporary non-renewable permits
o For permanent permits: Fourteen (14) working days, subject to submission of all required documents and meeting all requirements
o For temporary permits: Two (2) working days
