License to import and transport radioactive sources

- A service granted for the purpose of importing and transporting radioactive sources every time they are imported.

1- Submission of the application electronically through the Authority’s website, attaching all required documents.

2- Application examination and evaluation

3- Approval of the application

4- Electronic payment of license fees.

5- Receiving the license.

Technical requirements for licenses issued by the Authority.

a radiological practice license (service providers license) is prerequisite and shall be obtained through the Authority’s electronic system.

Electronic customs declaration system. (www.custom.gov.om)

A copy of the radiological practice license for service providers (import and transportation).
A copy of the radiological practice license (possession and use) of the end user. (If the service provider is not the end user).
A letter supporting the request from the end user. (If the service provider is not the end user).
A copy of the employment contract or purchase order under which these radioactive sources will be used.
A copy of the license of the vehicle that will be used to transport these radioactive sources. (For radioactive materials only)
Certificates of radioactive sources, leakage tests, and decay plans. (for radioactive materials)
A letter of commitment from the manufacturer to recover the radioactive sources as soon as they expire. (For sealed radioactive materials)
Hardware catalogs. (for radiation generators)
Purchase invoice or packing list.
