License to Import Non-Hazardous Waste
Chemicals and Waste Management Department – Waste Management Section
A service providing applicants with a license to import non-hazardous waste strictly for recycling or treatment. This license is issued exclusively by the approval of the Chairman of the Environment Authority.
1- Application submitted electronically on Bayan with all required documents
2- Application consideration and evaluation
3- Receipt of license/approval
o To adhere to the following:
o Royal Decree no. 114/2001 issuing the Law on Conservation of the Environment and Prevention of Pollution
o Ministerial Decision no. 17/93 issuing the Regulations for the Management of Non-Hazardous Solid Waste
o Regulations regulating the import and transit of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
o Royal Decree no. 115/2001 issuing the Law on Protection of Potable Water Sources from Pollution
o The technical specifications of licenses issued by the Environment Authority

o Website of Royal Oman Police (ROP) - Directorate General of Customs (Bayan system)
Permit to import non-hazardous waste
o Approval of the Chairman of the Environment Authority
o Copy of the contract/agreement made with the receiving company
