License to Transport Liquids between Marine Facilities

A service providing applicants with a license to transport liquids (oil derivatives, liquid chemicals) between marine facilities within the Sultanate of Oman

o To adhere to the following
- Royal Decree no. 114/2001 issuing the Law on Conservation of the Environment and Prevention of Pollution
- Royal Decree no. 26/81 ratifying The Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter (The 96 Protocol)
- Ministerial Decision no. 39/2004 on Regulations for Permit to Dump Solid Materials in the Marine Environment
- The technical specifications of permits issued by the Environment Authority

The Environment Authority’s website

• o Approval of other competent authorities (Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology – Royal Oman Police)
  o Copy of the vessel’s valid insurance policy
  o Copy of the vessel’s contingency plan
  o Proof of contract made between the applicant and a company specialized in combatting environmental pollution or proof of the applicant’s capability to combat environmental pollution
  o Compliance with the provisions of the relevant regulations and a written undertaking to carry out all relevant procedures and pay all costs that may result from any potential leakage in the marine environment

License to transport liquid waste between marine facilities

Three (3) renewable months

Ten (10) working days, subject to submission of all required documents and meeting all requirements
