A service providing applicants with a permit to conduct wildlife research and studies in the Sultanate of Oman
1- Application submitted electronically on the Environment Authority’s website with all required documents
2- Application consideration and evaluation
3- Receipt of permit
o To adhere to the following:
o Royal Decree no. 114/2001 issuing the Law on Conservation of the Environment and Prevention of Pollution, and relative Executive Regulations
o Royal Decree no. 6/2003 issuing the Law on Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation, and relative Executive Regulations
o Ministerial Decision no. 101/2002 regarding Ban on Hunting, Capturing or Shooting Animals Wherever Found in the Sultanate of Oman, and relative Executive Regulations

o Supporting letter from a research organization based in Oman for researchers coming from abroad
Permit to conduct wildlife field study/survey
As per the period set out in the application, but not more than 6 months
Twenty-five (25) working days, subject to submission of all required documents and meeting all requirements
o Fees based on permit period:
o 1 to 3 months: OMR 10
o 1 to 6 months: OMR 20
