Within the framework of the great endeavor and keenness of the Sultanate of Oman represented by the Environment Agency to unify and integrate efforts with the international community through joint cooperation in the field of exchanging expertise and experiences that promote environmental issues, His Excellency the President of the Authority and his accompanying delegation are paying an official visit to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia To discuss future visions and possible aspects of cooperation between the two countries, which include cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of natural resource management, biodiversity, reserves, air quality and waste management, as well as cooperation in the field of eco-tourism.
His Excellency the President of the Authority and his accompanying delegation began the program by visiting the Ghat National Park. During the visit, he met the Governor of Ghat and the CEO of the National Center for the Development of Vegetation Cover, where the National Centers for Environmental Conservation, the number of parks and their importance in creating investment opportunities, were introduced to the Center’s experience in the field of afforestation possibilities through the idea Planting trees with this rain harvest is in addition to the activities practiced in the reserves to maximize the use of them.
