-  A service granted for the purpose of licensing a supervisor for radiation protection in institutions that use radioactive sources.

  • Environmental Protection and Pollution Control Law (114/2001).
  • Regulations on radiation protection, security and safety of radiation sources and nuclear materials (79/2023).
  • Technical requirements for licenses issued by the Authority.
  • The person nominated by the institution to work as a radiation protection supervisor must hold a degree of no less than a bachelor’s degree in the field of science, health sciences or engineering, or a diploma in the field of science, health sciences or engineering with no less than two years of experience, or a high school certificate with no less than five years of experience in the field of radiation protection.
  • Hold a certificate of completing a course or courses in the field of radiation protection with not less than 20 hours from an institute or institution accredited by the Environment Authority, provided that the last course has not been more than one year from the date of submitting the application.

  1. A letter supporting the application addressed to the Director of the Radiation Protection Department.
  2. A copy of the registration certificate issued by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion.
  3. Certificate of affiliation to the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  4. A copy of the nominated person’s ID card.
  5. A recent photo of the candidate with a white background.
  6. A copy of the nominated person’s CV.
  7. A copy of the latest educational certificate of the nominated person.
  8. A copy of a work experience certificate in the field of radiation protection from the company for the nominated person.
  9. A copy of the certificate of attendance of a training course or courses in the field of radiation protection supervisors.
